The Nagar District is one of the 14 districts of Pakistan-administered territory of Gilgit-Baltistan. The Nagar District was established in 2015 by the division of the Hunza–Nagar District into two districts: the Hunza District and the Nagar District. The Nagar District is bounded on the north and north-east by the Hunza District, on the south-east by the Shigar District, on the south by the Gilgit District, and on the west by the Gupis-Yasin District. The district headquarters in the town of Nagarkhas.The valley has few of the heighest peaks of Karakoram including the most famous Rakaposhi, Spantik (Golden Peak), Diran, Mulabiting, Mair Peaks, and many others. Most famous glacier of Nagar is Hisper Glacier, which is one of the longest glaciers and together with Biafo makes the longest glacial system outside polar region. Apart from these amazing peaks and glaciers, Nagar valley is worth seeing for its beautiful lush green valleys, its towns and villages, and hidden glacial lakes. Nagar is well known among adventurers and avid trekkers. Nagar offers amazing sights of the Karakoram mountains and valleys.
