Multan is a city located in Punjab, Pakistan. Situated on the bank of the Chenab River, Multan is Pakistan's 7th largest city. It is one of the oldest cities in Asia. It's famous for its mosques and shrines, including the unique rectangular tomb of Shah Gardez that dates from the 1150s and is covered in blue enameled tiles typical of Multan. The shrine of Shamsuddin Sabzwari dates from 1330, and has a unique green dome, Therefore Multan is known as ``City of Saints`` across the sub-continent. Multan is also famous for cotton crops and fruit – especially mangoes.
